Glam It Up

IMG_0959December is the holiday month where I am from. We have Sinterklaas on december 5th, Christmas on December 25th & 26th (weird that The Netherlands has 2 Christmas days huh) and of course New years eve to end this month.

Last year we didn't do anything on these days, in fact I think we were in a grocerystore at midnight hehe.
But this year it is going to be different, we are invited to a Secret Santa Party and that party has a theme. This years theme is "A December To Remember", the dress code is winter formal.
I chose this dress from H&M (years back) and paired it with my new blazer from JCP (my only black Friday find).IMG_0935

I love the style of the dress, it's a babydoll with a nice highneckline. It looks classy. I paired it with shiny earrings and a dark make-up look.

OOTD: Flowers on a Sunday

Hola!!! Long time no see.. Its been two weeks now. Wow... I just couldn't find the inspiration to write. Writers block? That early in the game?! I had to break that cycle!

I didn’t want to leave the house yesterday. I just wanted to stay inside and watch my shows. But after a few hours I decided that I still wanted to run a few errands.

You know that feeling that you just want to doll yourself up? That feeling combined with needing to take pictures for my blog is a perfect combination.

A while back I was cleaning out my closets (with boxes from when we moved.) and I came across this skirt that I bought at a thrift store. I thought the print was really cute and kind of edgy, it is a skirt that normally wouldn’t wear. I decided to pair it with a tee from H&M. The Tee is way to short to wear it by itself so prefect to go with this skirt. I also found this belt in the box and paired it up with this outfit. It is totally out of my comfort zone cause I don’t wear prints like this on the bottom (or top!).

I’m stepping more and more out of my comfort zone. I don’t care is my motto. Or hipsters would say YOLO!

Skirt: Thrifted 24W
Tee: H&M BB 2x
Leggings: JMS 2x
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Old Navy
Bracelets: Made my me

The pictures we take are in the courtyard of our apartment complex hence the waterhose in the pictures haha. At first I was hesitant to ask R. if he could take my pictures. I always had that awkward feeling, not knowing how to pose, what if I look weird in pictures.

But my blog is something that I want. And if other people don’t like it, that’s their problem not mine!! haha!

Legging like things

I love this dress, when I saw it hanging on the rack I knew we would be 'besties'.

It is so out of my comfort zone but I love it! I am not a big fan of prints and patterns but I have come to appreciate them more and more. I like that it is black and white. The only issue I might have is that it won’t look good on me in the wintertime. Right now I have a tan from the perfect California weather, but in the wintertime I could be part of the corpse!

I chose this dress cause it represents me. I am young, fun and fat!

Dress: Ross 3x - Leggings: JMS 2x - Shoes: Thrifted
Belt: Torrid        -            Hair piece and earrings: F21

Who would've thought that I would wear a dress like this, few years ago I didn't like to wear leggings and as of today I want to live in them! I don't like to show my arms, but this is a new era, so what the heck! We go all out in this post. 3 things that I am uncomfortable with are exposed.

Arms, legs and hair up!
